Connecting Construction Tools and Data with Interoperability
A new approach to internal and 3d-party Trimble Integrations

I was excited to write this eBook and teaser blog after Trimble acquired Data Xchange (now Trimble Marketplace): a growing marketplace for customers and developers to leverage internal and 3d-party integrations with Trimble software solutions.
My goals were 1.) to generate inbound organic traffic and support paid media, and 2.) demonstrate a shift in Trimble’s position on integrations, from a “walled garden” approach that featured only our own integrations, to an open ecosystem that included even our competitors’ integrations.
Your company (and your competitors) are already using dozens, maybe hundreds, of construction technologies between your different teams. Adding to that, your vendors, subcontractors, project owner, other project stakeholders also come with their own technology stacks.
And the list is only getting longer.

Interoperability in construction is the ability to share and integrate information with different software systems, automatically.
It’s about meeting people where they are, with the tools they’re already using. You’ve probably heard of integrations or developer APIs, which is one way to achieve interoperability.
